The Problem
Over 500,000 Canadians live with dementia today. A projected 912,000 Canadians will live with dementia in 2030. Cognitive abilities are brain-based skills that we need to carry out any task from the simplest to the most complex, e.g., navigation, managing emotions, recognizing risks and hazards, and decision making. Anyone can suffer from cognitive challenges regardless of age. A recent study highlighted that cognitive function is an area of human health that we have largely ignored.
Our Solution
ReGen Educator is a hands-on learning tool to provide nature-based interactive exercises for cognitive health regeneration.
The Design
ReGen Educator is a unique self-contained ecosystem. It applies the concepts of biomimicry and closed-loop ecosystems to produce an ideal living system teaching tool. It incorporates a complete ecosystem contained within a series of inter-connected elements which collectively constitute a stable self-sustaining living environment.
ReGen Educator put symbiotic components into unique, bio-diverse and modular systems that will fit perfectly into any school environment. It facilitates an interactive multidisciplinary learning environment with critical thinking exercises.
